Job Details
Northcrest has a rare opportunity for an outgoing and creative individual to assist the Activity Director in the day-to-day planning, organization, and implementation of activities for individuals living in the Health Center, Heartwood House, and Assisted Living apartments.
The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be reliable, high energy, possess a great attitude and be interested in spending quality time with residents. The position also requires the completion of assigned administrative duties.
This opportunity is casual part-time with a flexible schedule of approximately 14 hours per week. Schedule requires working various days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements
Educational Requirements
Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
Experience
Computer skills required.
Specific Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations.
Must possess the ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to assist residents, staff, and visitors based on whatever maturity level with which they are currently functioning or how difficult the situation.
Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.
Must be able to maintain assigned work hours.
