Nada Louise McClean, 98, died Sunday, July 5, 2020, at Northcrest Community in Ames Iowa. Nada was born November 7th, 1921, in rural Jasper County. Daughter of Vern and Bertha Klopping, she was the oldest of two children.

Nada graduated from Newton High School in 1939 and went on to attain an Associate degree from AIB in Des Moines. She had employment with several large law firms during World War 2. She met and later married Jim McClean on January 27th, 1945. The couple moved to Ames in 1949 where Jim opened an optometric practice. She enjoyed dancing with Jim, her family, and was a member of numerous bridge clubs and the Ames Golf and Country Club.

Nada always had a strong faith. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and later First Evangelical Free Church of Ames. She was highly active in many Bible studies throughout the years. Nada was a devoted wife and mother who always put her family first. We will think of her often, miss her always and love her forever.
